Our students have access to more information than ever before. However, so much of what they see, hear, and read is unregulated and misleading. As educators, it is critically important to empower students with media literacy skills, so they can distinguish fact from fiction as they enter into their civic responsibility to be informed and reasoned decisionmakers. This 90-minute online workshop will provide content, resources and strategies to help teachers address the educational challenges of media literacy in a free democracy.
The workshop will run from 4:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14th. A Zoom link will be emailed in advance to all who register. REGISTER HERE
