The September 18th workshop has been changed to a 90-minute online workshop on September 25th. The workshop will be via Zoom and run from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
We live in a highly partisan era and teachers are concerned about how to address controversial issues in a non-partisan manner that creates a safe classroom environment and promotes civil discourse. Elections are inherently controversial, and the forthcoming gubernatorial and General Assembly elections promise to be contentious, reflecting the current partisan divide. Media literacy skills are also important as students and teachers seek to navigate the flood of partisan information and misinformation. This workshop will provide content and strategies to help teachers address these issues.
The workshop will run from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on September 25th. A Zoom link will be emailed in advance to all who register.. REGISTER HERE
